It’s important to me that my slogan talks about ‘people’ rather than ‘women’. My customers span all ages and genders, and I absolutely love that my jewellery speaks to so many people, whoever they are.

TheCluttery was born in 2017 as an outlet for my creativity while I worked in academia. I made in my spare time, going to markets at weekends. In 2019 I waved goodbye to my desk job and made making my full-time gig.

I’m a self-taught designer and maker and I’ve tried just about every craft you can think of (spoon carving? Yes! Candle making? Obviously! Basket weaving? Try harder!). I studied BA History of Art, then MA Museum Studies and later on I completed a PhD in landscape studies, but in my mid-thirties I realised that academia wasn’t my passion and so here we are!
