I have a new stockist! The Gallery at 51 High Street in Pershore is run by Jilly and Chris Oxlade-Arnott. Theirs is a small but well-curated space full of paintings, cards, ceramics, sculptures and jewellery across a range of styles and budgets. With an ever-changing display of at least 25 artists at any time, this gallery is worth a regular visit.

As an artist herself Jilly understands how important it is for independent creatives to be represented on the high street which, as we know, struggles to maintain small independent businesses when rents and rates are so high! It seems as though almost every week I hear about another small business closing down, and in the current post-Covid / cost-of-living-crisis world shops like these need all the support we can give them. Pershore itself is a beautiful old town, famous for its plums (they even have an annual plum festival!), with lots of historic buildings and a beautiful medieval church at its centre - well worth a day trip.
